The previous owner tells me my 170 CC has a washdown pump, and there is a switch for one, but it doesn't work. Where is the pump located? Where do you connect a hose to it to use it? He said the hose connects to the same outlet pipe used to fill the live bait well -- is this accurate? Certainly the small bait well pump isn't adaquet as a washdown pump. I find an abandoned 10 guage red/wht wire laying loose in the console. It exits the console with the trolling motor cable and appears to go forward. It has a circuit breaker on the end and it is all taped off. Any idea what this could be? Perhaps a washdown moutned forward?

My 2000 180cc's pump was way up under the deck on the port side, attached directly to the through-hull. I put a good hose on it and moved it back to the rear where I could get to it. Here is the Bait Sentry info that was included in some of the Sea Pro manuals:

OK, thanks Capt. That gives me a bit more idea where to search. It apparently uses the same thru hull as the livewell pump, so let me search there for any additional hoses. There just isn't a lot of room in that bilge to hide things!

The BaitSentyr system uses the same thru-hull, pump and all.
I didn't have the washdown on my `180, but DO have the switch. humm

I also have the switch labeled "wash down" but there isn't a wash down pump in the 17cc. When I bought the boat from the dealer, used, he took me through all of the gauges and told me that the several models have the same instrument cluster and the larger models did have the wash down pump installed. The only pumps on the 17cc are for the bilge and for the live well.

That is how my 176cc was, washdown switch & no pump.

Yeah, I think the Livewell/Washdown switch came on all models even if there was no washdown pump. I suspect this boat never had one and the previous owner wasn't smart enough to know it (and I wasn't smart enough to make him fix it before I bought it!) Thanks to each of you for the input. Maybe I will add one someday.

5 gallon bucket works pretty good. No wiring to go bad, no leaks. Doubles as a bait bucket, triples as a pottie, and quadruples as a legal USCG approved bailing device. ;-)
