Nice forums you have here. I saw a sea pro advertised and am trying to do some research. I see lots of reviews on the SV hull design, but nothing on the S series. The boat I'm looking at is advertised as a S1900 CC. I can see in the photos in the add that it has a modified hull vs the V hull of the SV series. Any comments from you guys that may have experience with this model sea pro?
Thanks in advance for any advice you may have.

Hey troutrus , welcome. There is a link on home page with all the sea pro models and specs. I looked at em and all I see is an s1860 which is a square nosed skiff and not a vee. There are pictures on site. Here's the link but there's more in home page under all things related to hull. rnr-marine.com/SEAPRO.shtml#170cc-specs

That's a nice looking boat! I've never owned a skiff but have been interested in them . Lots of walk around room, more stable at rest than a deep vee. That one only draws about 6" of water , floats high! The only draw back of a skiff over a deep vee boat that I can think of is the ride. It's gonna beat you around more than a vee in chop. Will bounce on top instead of cutting through it. Just an opinion as I've never ridden in that boat. I will try to attach a link on that boats review. Again that is a nice lookin boat and price seems about right to me. www.sportfishingmag.com/boats/boat-reviews/sea-pro-1996-skiff

Just a thought , you might want to edit post and take out the ad info . Someone else might snatch it up!

Went to see it. Very nice condition but very narrow beam at 76". A no go for me.

I have fished on that model boat. It's a bit rough when choppy, but, it has an outstanding floor plan! Haha. Lots of room on the inside, like a floating living room

The skiffs seem to always have a narrow beam. I guess due to the fact that there more stable than the vee's and don't need extra width to do so. Always a rough ride though! Lots of boat out there, you'll find yours.

i have the same boat. have had it is about 8" of water and it still floated have had it 20 miles off shore, and have been in 4+ swells( not fun or wanting to do again) but have trust in the boat but as all boating goes weather is key. mine has a 115 merc and does fine with wife,3 kids and myself getting out of the hole and planes out runs best around 3800 to 4400 rpms has good turning except when turning extreamly sharp she will snatch you once you roll out of the mod v hull so watch out... pulls a tube with rider fine.. rides good even in 1 to 2 seas with a bad sea spray on front rides moderate behind the console... would consider capping off the back live well fills with water while at ancor lots of lag weight i use as a fish cooler the seat cooler is for food, the live well at the ladder is used for the sand anchor and the the live well is the one under the seat in front of console. hope my jabber has been helpfull to ya
