Thanks guys. I put two coats of wax on it and installed it last night. Fits great, but It doesn't slide without effort. It looks like decent striper fishing weather this weekend, maybe I can get a daylight pic then.

Well the first run exposed a flaw or two. I had the rear view mirror glued to the top and I didn't find any issues up to 75mph on the trailer. However when I arrived to a friends house, the top had wiggled itself forward about 6".. Well at least I didn't lose it. I will add a wing bolt or Velcro strap to keep in in place.

A rear view mirror.... I like that. Gonna have to see if I can find a place to put one on mine. Glad you didn't lose the top... that would have been a lot of time and work splattered all over the highway!

Oops, I guess I should have been more specific,,,, I had the truck's rear view mirror focused on the top as I drove. I do have a cheap clip-on vanity mirror from autozone that I hang on my windshield for a rear view mirror on the boat... works great. Today I put in two 2" Velcro straps and I drilled and tapped a 1/4"-20 hole for a knurled knob and stainless bolt for good measure. I also installed (but not wired yet) the anchor light, spreader lights, and VHF antenna.

I finally got around to doing what I thought would set this top apart. I took the old sunbrella fabric top and rolled it with epoxy, then flat black paint on the underside, and white on the topside. I then installed some stainless d-ring screws to the inside of the t-top to secure it, and voila. an under top that keeps the captain shaded when the top is slid in the forward position for maximum shade.

That looks great but when you get to 40 mph, that thing is going airborne! I have to ask... what is the box attached to the front of the electronics box? I can't tell if it's speakers or ventilation.

That is the front speakers. They sound great when not full of love bugs! Right now 40 mph isn't an issue....

All that fancy top is probably what is dragging your motor down.

freezerfiller.....Does that top slide fore and aft...just wondering? I see in the pics that you have what looks like a folding antenna that appears under the top, and in another pic it is upright, Great idea...

No, it only slides forward. It would have been real easy to make it slide either way if the rocket launchers weren't in the way. The antenna mount is temporary, although it works pretty well. I'll weld a real bracket for it when I get around to "operation electronics in the electronics box" when some other welding will need to be done.

I thought I'd update this thread after some time to put the top through it's paces. My highly pigmented epoxy was still not UV stable enough to not yellow, so I took it back off and did a light sand and painted it with marine white paint. I probably would have been happier with gel coat, but I was pressed for time to get ready for vacation so I went the quick and available route. It's been on for a few months and is looking good. I haven't used the slide forward function as much as I thought I would, but the two times I have used it, it was pretty nice.
