I was cleaning up the boat today for winter and noticed that the drain in the front compartment had some water still. I tried lifting te boat up and some drained out I ran a wire down in and tried to clear it but it turns 90 at both ends so I didn't get much of any thing. Any suggestions to prevent it from freezing up? Or how to get it cleared or draining. I was thinking maybe blowing it out with an aor compressor... Any ideas or tips would be appreciated. Its going to get cold in the next few weeks so I would like to get it sorted sooner rather then later. Thanks all

Air compressor is a good idea, I suggest blowing from below, into the box as it seems to be more successful than the other way around.

Compressor will work. Take a hose to the drain at the box and run water through, the suction created should pull most of the water through. You can also use a shopvac and suck everything out. Thats what i do with all the hoses before winter. Cover the one hole with the vac and stick your finger over the other, the sealed suction will pull everything out. Off the record, if its just a little water left in there i wouldn't worry to much about it. when the water freezes it should find the open areas in the hose.
