Anyone with information or diagram of wiring for this boat? I can't seem to find the wiring from console back to transom. Numerous wires going back and only couple coming in to batteries. Expected to find bus bars but can't. Appears there is extra conduit in photo, but I can't figure out where it leads to. looking for help if you have it.

My negatives came from factory with multiple wires going into one rather than a bus bar. I changed that :/

Below is an example of what I found Also provided a pic of the bus bars I went with. I like very few wires touching my battery. Attachments:

Several wiring diagrams (well actually one) if you search.

Assuming from that thick wire loom you have a verado?
What are you trying to do?
The wiring harbness from the console back to the transom goes down through some holes you can hardly see through, down to the keel of the boat and through some sort of odd molded pvc type tube the factory molded into the bottom of the boat. Then runs to the transom and to see where its actually coming from through the bilge access is near impossible.
Let me know what your looking to do and i might be able to offer some suggestions.

Yolo, the wire loom in my picture is under the center console. Actually there are 2. One contains all the wiring and other is empty. I have four wires coming out in the transom, of which, one is a depth finder. Makes no sense.. Before pulling wires, I wanted to understand where they are going because I can't trace those coming off my switches or other electronics.
Here's what my intentions are:
8 switches on console (horn, lights, livewell, bilge, etc) 1 cigarette lighter Lowrance HDS 7 gen2 VHF radio CD amfm radio Depth finder
Tie these into 100A fuse block under console. Then run my positive and negative 10ga wires through wire loom back to batteries. Trying to minimize mess in battery box. Previous owner used electric tape and in line fuses not meant for boats. Wires corroded and need replaced.
BTW- it's a yamaha 225. Are you located in Manasquan? My boat is Ocean City, NJ.

Got it on the motor, I thought that loom with the blue strip was merc specific.
The original wiring harness makes no sense and how the wired some of the components into the harness makes absolutely no sense along with the channel the molded into the bilge and along the keel.
Give me a day or two and ill post something up for you here, I just need some time to write it right so it makes sense to you because there are a lot of moving parts to the wiring harness (all the wires you are looking at). nlaudy started to hint on whats Sea Pro did.
Yes, i am going back to Manasquan this year. I was there two years ago and the 3 years before that. I went up to the Hudson and New York Harbor this past season because i was working a lot and i live in north jersey (needed to be able to get to the boat after a Saturday in the office), but now i can get back down to the shore. We will have to meet up at Tices!
Hope you have some time on this and stay tuned!

Here's THE schematic incase you haven't got it yet ( I guess you do) I've been tidying up my wiring in my console over the last couple of weekends, hopefully I'll be done this weekend and I'll post some before and after pics in a new thread.

Yolo- take a look at the diagram. This was what I envisioned my wiring should look like. To clean it up, I am going to mount a fuse block with grounds under the console and just have two wires going back(pos n neg). Let me know if you see any flaws in my thought process. thanks, Todd

Electronics are on left, switch panel on top, fuse block in center, and one neg busbar aft for bilge.

The way you have that is not going to work, you will have constant power to everything. you need to run power from the fuse box to each switch individually then from the switch to the electronic componant (lights/bilge etc), the grounds are good.

Thx gnrphil. Need more help with your logic. My switches are currently looped together and I have one positive coming off last switch back to my battery. By constant power, you mean when the battery switch is in the on position, correct? Your wiring looks good, but I'm not sure how your set up doesn't provide constant power from your fuse bar once you turn the batteries on. I'm not an electrician, so help me understand why it will not work. Thanks again!

Sorry i have been MIA. Had a bunch of stuff going on over here.
Do you have the fuse block your going to use? Meaning did you purchase it yet, or research the one you know your going to use?
If so can you post a picture of it? I think i know what your going after but i need to make sure before i start saying a whole bunch of stuff that may be completely wrong and confuse us! lol

Tod I appologise , I see now more clearly what your going for there(was still a bit jet lagged yesterday, good excuse anyway ). Your just wiring in the componants on the left straight into the fuse box and nothing else correct?, that looks good to go mate. I'm going back to bed. emthup

Yolo, although I don't have a photo of mind, this is what I bought to place under the Center console.
ST fuse block by Blue Sea. It's a 12 circuit block with ground bus bar and cover. Phone is not letting post picture.

Cool ok got it. Wanted to make sure I was getting the right power distribution from your picture.
Is your intention to get the ACC switch to give power to the electronics? If not what do you want the ACC 2 switch to do?
Or do you simply want them to have power all the time, where you'll turn each one on and off individually?
