So I am installing a swim platform on a 2002 SV2100. In order to do so I had to install an access hole inside the rear port side container. I drilled my holes and I screwed up. I can't get to the top right hole from the inside. Feels like the spray foam stuff is in the way. What would you all recommend? I was thinking about a stainless steel toggle bolt but to be honest I am not sure the toggler could get in there and turn like it needs too. Any opinions or ideas would be greatly appreciated. The hole in question is where you see the bolt. The second picture is where I think it's at. As you can see, not much space. Attachments:

I put mine on with screws, held up so far, and seems solid.

I'm pushing 265 and I got some buddies the same size. I would love to go the screw route but I wouldn't trust it with our size :/

I put my platform to the right of the motor so I could get at the bolts and backing plates from the inside

Don't trust screws for the upper brackets!
On mine I used a long stainless bolt in that area and through bolted it with a Fender washer and lock nut on the inside of the transom.

I finished installing it today. I am fairly upset about the top right bolt and what I had to do in order to get a nut installed on the back side though.
Actually kind of embarrassed to show it... Haha

ehhhh no1 will ever know what its for. Don't worry about it.
plus how much time to people actually spend looking at the hull close up? Remember they are always in the boat!!!
And for those who use the ladder.....they have no clue why that screw is there until you tell them (assuming you fill the hull put using a screw and a 5200 type.

I'll post tomorrow and show the mess I went through.
I basically had to cut an access hatch in the rear port compartment.
When I drilled all the holes I over drilled them then epoxied them. Then I re-drilled them the normal size. From my reading, this was supposed to be the best way to install a swim platform and prevent water from getting in the transom.
After drilling and cutting the access hole I was able to reach 3 of the holes except for the top right one. Unfortunately that ended up being in one of the real slim spots in the transom and they sprayed it with foam in the factory. Unfortunately I couldn't do what captwoody did because it happened to be on a curve inside the boat. Also, being that it was foam filled, I couldn't use a toggle bolt. I really only had 2 options... Use a screw which I refused to do. Or drill a hole on the inside of the boat to allow me access to the back side of the transom. I opted for that route but now have a heckuva hole I need to close and build up with fiberglass.

I said I would post photos... So here goes nothing. I would kind of like opinions on the hole I drilled on the inside to get access to the one troubled bolt. My plan was to build it back up with fiberglass. You think that is the best option or is there something better I can do? - the one photo shows the platform. I haven't tested it yet. Waiting for the 5200 to fully cure. - another photo shows one of the many issues I ran Into. Had to cut the platform. Even then I can't put ladder down all the way as seen in other photo. -added a spacer to the one spot.

Here is photo of hole I cut in rear port compartment. Going to cover this with starboard or something so I have future access. I never used this compartment for anything but am now in the process of putting a washdown kit in there. Also a photo of where I had to drill in for the troubled bolt. Planning to fill this by building it up with layers of fiberglass. Attachments:

Basically looks like a solid install, should be strong. The Starboard should work on that inside hold if you don't use it as a livewell. You can build up that other hole. You might want to try MarineTex, an epoxy filler that comes in white and easy to use. It can be sanded and polished for the final finish.

The problem with that is that you can't gel coat it and make it match from what I understand.

If your boat is white you may not need to gel coat it, or you may be able to tint it. I see no reason that you couldn't gel coat it though, although I've never tried. It is basically epoxy with filler in it. I'll try to check the instructions to see if gel coat is discussed.

Just a thought, Could you move the platform out on the stainless rails further from the boat so the ladder will fold all the way? Looks like there is room..

If I moved it over any further I couldn't get to the bottom right hole from the inside. If I take the second step off the platform I can close it. To be honest though, it doesn't bother me. Just going to Velcro it up.
On a side note, I tested the platform today and it didn't budge with all 265 pounds on it!

Started cleaning up the unused compartment I had to butcher for the swim platform. Drilled a drain hole in the corner where rain likes to pile up. I will be installing a washdown kit in here tomorrow. Attachments:
