rofl Yes will is up to date and I have life insurance . It's 50 something miles so I'll be OK , one dilema is should I leave up the pirate flag to fool "real pirates" into thinking I'm a fellow Pirate or take it down so the coast gaurd / Navy don't confuse me for a "real Pirate" ? . The Admiral is worried about Pirates .

Was looking about heading over there about a year ago. Have you check all regulations? Was told when entering the Port of Call you need to flag a yellow flag or something to let Customs know that you are entering the country.
What really had me concern was not getting over there but have heard of night mares of people trying to come back and the seas kicking up. Had to spend a couple extra day over there.
On one of the websites that I visit, there were 2 couples that crossed on jet skis.

Yes you do have to fly a Yellow quarantine flag when entering and I believe your supposed to fly a bahamian courtedy flag while your there ( not 100% on that though), There is always the chance of the weather kicking up for the return crossing but I guess that's the risk you take. I booked a condo at The Bimini Sands, good thing is is the weather isn't playing for the crossing I won't loose my deposit for a year. and I can clear customs right at there own marina.

You only fly the yellow flag until you clear customs. The courtesy flag is just a courtesy, not a requirement, but nice to do. Enjoy your trip!

I would definitely be packing with a few extra mags. There are some not so nice people out that way I have heard. Be like a Boy Scout, be prepared. For any contingency.

I can't take a weapon unfortunately as I can't lock it in the boat.

I am not certain about taking gun(s) on a boat to a foreign country what regulations you would be faced with. Would hate to get there and it be a cause of trouble. You would hate it worse if you needed it on the way and didn't have one with you. Understandable if you have no way to secure it on board. I definitely wouldn't take it ashore.

You're allowed to take guns to Bimini but they have to be lock on the boat and stay on the boat.
