That sucks. I think it's time to consider shiny white. but I hope it's fixed because finding a new outboard of any color these days is like finding gold. btw: my luck wasn't quite as bad. My trolling motor broke and the air conditioning on my truck quit. Always something is right!

That's pretty weird to have two head gaskets go at the same time.

Don't know how it happened and did the other side to be safe, she still ain't right and now have a high idle which is weird. DO NOT buy cheap injectors from Amazon/flea bay, they don't work.

Did another compression test on Saturday, low compression on two cylinders and water coming out of the plug holes. I'm declaring it DOA, Suzuki DF250TXW going on next week.

Sorry to hear it's DOA but they don't live forever. How many hours did it have on it? If you're replacing it with a new 250, you got lucky finding one that quick.

Don't know the hours for sure I'll need to pull a print out but I'd estimate around 2700. Yeah found a motor in stock in Perry GA which about a 3 hour drive so not too bad. It did us well really, was clearly abused before. I did all I could to prolong it's life so can't complain.

What a drag. Been there, done that. Sounds like that motor had a long, useful life. Now you can look forward to several worry-free years of warranty protection. Good luck with re-power. Can't wait to see photos and performance reports.

Got my shoulder surgery on the 23rd so gonna be a few weeks before we see how she runs, biggest concern is how she'll sit in the water with 150# more weight on the back, might have to move the battery's up to the console.

You want me to pick it up and break it in for you while you're recovering from shoulder surgery?

Looks great! You are going to be really happy with your fuel economy once you get your prop dialed in.
