I have a 2019 SP259 that the power steering keeps quitting. Sometimes it quits when I turn the wheel all the way to the stops and sometimes it just quits. If I shut everything off and restart the engines it will come back on and usually stay on for a while. When it quits the red light comes on and using the buttons I can't even shut it off, change modes anything.

So I heard what happened to this boat. When the control pad was installed it was tightened so tight that it warped the board. Also they had drilled the hole in the dash so small that in order to connect the data cable they actually shaved the side of the connector to get it in the hole. This kept the connector from seating properly causing voltage to surge back to the control module which is part of the pump so the whole assembly had to be replaced. Also when they went to remove the panel under the steering wheel they found that the tabs where tightened so tight that half of them were broken. Sounds like they taught some teenage kid just enough to be dangerous and he thought if tight was good then over tightening is better. I like the hull of this boat but for the rest of it I think it is crap. You will find out if you ever need to have an electrical repair done. Try finding your fuse block, try finding some information on what fuse goes where. Try getting someone at Seapro to answer the phone or call you back.

Yet aonther comment that makes me love my old "First Wave" line Sea Pro more and more. I honestly wouldn't trade even for a similar sized Next Wave. Granted, Sea Pro has its problems with the Next Wave line of boats and some serious issues with design imo but I tend to believe the problems are the exception and not the rule. Based on new owner's comments, I like to think the majority of the Next Wave boats are solid trouble-free boats and they aren't just defending the boat's price tag. Now, there's just no excuse for pizz poor service and that seems to be the biggest problem. Sea Pro shouldn't sell their boats to dealerships that aren't willing to make necessary repairs or work the bugs out of a new boat. Personally, I hate the design of the Next Wave boats and will stick with the the tried and true, bugs worked out old Sea Pros. But that's just my opinion and why they make chocolate and vanilla. I'm sure owners of the gull winged; no draining, can't get service, Next Wave boats feel the same way about their rides.
