So I take it your going with the Suzuki? Yep. Couldn't find a good reason not to.

Nice...I have been thinking about a repower for the last year or so. My Yamaha 115 runs great and has been a good motor, that's for sure, but it is going to be 20 years old next year. I did a little research on the 140 Suzuki which is what would interest me. Cheapist I have found was around $10,000 going up to around $12,000 motor only. What would you consider a good price for a repower with motor installed, out the door. Just curious about what I might be looking at.... Congratulations on the new motor, I know your going to enjoy being worry free.

Wen't too the boat doctors today to pick up Helios, saw two other 220CC's and an 180 cc. None of them looked as good as mine which made me smile, I just don't understand how people can let there boats look that bad. Should've got pics but there was a woman friend of mine there trying to hook up a trailer.

Congratulations on the new motor, I know your going to enjoy being worry free. I don't think there is such a thing as a "good price" for a new outboard motor. IMO like most everything marine related these days, they are priced way too high. Especially the ones made in another country. I found there's not that much difference in the prices between the 140, 150, 175 and 200 hp models. (around $2 - $3k) I think it depends on what they charge to do the repower and any accessories you might need or want to make it happen but I'd guess a new turn key ready 140 out the door would run between $12K - $13K

Saw this one on NCIS New Orleans tonight. Unfortunately, it's in a junkyard next to a 75 Malibu..
