This has evidently been in the works for some time. The trademark application was filed back in June of 2013. The old trademark was abandoned back in 2011.

I think the original owners are also building boats under the Sportsman brand. Looked like a pretty good product

Hey Juan, a bit off the subject, but you look good in that boat in your profile icon!
I swear I saw that guy, fishing in the same boat in the Louisiana Marsh a couple years ago. He had about six rods deployed around the boat and an anchor tied to the stern. The anchor was snagged on some rip rap in a strong tidal current. He was standing in the stern, pulling on the anchor rode, and he had about a half inch of freeboard. I was fully expecting to see the current sweep the dinghy out from under him and witness a drowning when he wisely cut the line.
