I got me a Worksharp Ken Onion Edition knife sharpener. Got all my Bubba Blades sharp as new! Merry Christmas everyone! MERRY CHRISTMAS! Tell me about the Bubba Blades. I've been thinking about ordering one. Are they worth the cost? Rick, they have revolutionized fish cleaning for me. I get a new one every year or so when I find them on sale (I take them to dirty Santa gatherings in hopes of getting them back). I also found the 7" flex model on sale for $14.99 at Academy a few years ago so deals can be had. I haven't used an electric knife since I bought my first Bubba blade. I have a 12" flex and 9 " stiff model. I use theses models on those hard to filet fish like big redfish, snapper, sheepshead, etc. I also have a 8" thin flex blade CCA model that I used for softer fish like specks, white trout and whiting. My go to blades are the 7" and 9" conventional flex taper blades. If I could only one one, it would be this one. 9" BubbaI see they are on sale now too. If you shop around, you can find some deals on them. Regardless if you get a deal on one or not, you will never regret the purchase I assure you. Edit, thanks for the question! I got to looking at the deals right now and just ordered two models I didn't have. The 8" whiffie and the 9" serrated. Hi, my name is Scott and I have a knife problem....

Is there a support group for that? Thanks Scott. That's what I wanted to hear. The local Academy has that model: www.academy.com/shop/pdp/bubba-blade-9-in-tapered-flex-fillet-knife I'll be picking one up after the Christmas rush is over.

Nope. I have a knife drawer full of knives but no Bubba blades. Until now, I haven't heard a report from anyone who owns one and wasn't sure they were worth the cost. Enjoy your visit with Mr. Yeungling. MERRY CHRISTMAS

Picked up my first 9" flex Bubba blade yesterday. At $60. it better be a good one or it will be my first and last. Now it needs to quit raining long enough to catch a filletable fish.

You obviously didn't click on the link I posted. Bubba Blade has them on sale for $44 bucks right now. Either that or you had a gift card to burn. You won't regret owning that knife, no more fish than you catch, you probably will never have to sharpen it!

All of my fish are smaller and softer these days. Thanks for the Bubba blade info and link. Might not get a chance to try it out prior to knee surgery but I hope to give it a work out some day.

Hang in there Juan, all will be fine. I hear that they get you up and moving around quickly now. You'll be getting to use that new knife sooner than you think.

Yep, they tell me I'll be in the hospital for 2 days but will be up walking the hallways the day after surgery. I don't go in until the 16th so if I'm lucky and the rain stops, I might get to try out the knife before then.

I got one of those 1hp meat grinders from Cabelas. That thing is bad news on deer. Did two last night and I was done in less than 30 minutes grinding time. I have three Bubba blades. I like them, but I got them on sale. The big one is really nice on redfish. Makes me wonder why I didn't try it out on those deer last night.
