The right prop can make a big difference. Try contacting Ken at propgods on their fourm. The guy is really good at steering you in the right direction.
The only othe option I know of that may get you a few additional MPH is adding a hydrofoil. Thought about adding one myself for different reasons, but they claim to add a little top end speed. Never tried one though. Some other members may be able to comment on this.
Option 3 would be to leave the wife and some gear on shore. ;D ;D

You could take a drill bit and drill out the speedometer pick up hole on your lower unit to a larger size... I'll guarantee you'll gain several mph on the speedometer. ;D Just kidding.... don't do it

Ha1 New motor, new prop, no gear, no wife, no dog, trim it out . I doubt you will gain speed with a hydrofoil - it adds drag. It can help you get on plane easier if that's a problem. I have a jack plate and trim my motor way out with 23 pitch Mirage propr, but than again I have 200HP ProV (with Boysen Reeds) on an 18' boat. Its like the turbo kicks in @ WOT throttle around 35mph - blasts to over 60 in seconds.

Nothing like a new 300hp sticker to replace the old 150. ;D
