Ok, 2005 Yamaha F115 keeps loosing its prime. I have to pump the buld before I take off every time or it will die flat on its face. Each time it dies, the ball is not flat, it is empty with no fuel in it. I pump it up and take off with no problems. I have replaced all lines and filters from the bulb back, including the bulb. I thought this may be some kind of sucking air issue, but apparently not. Dealership has pulled and cleaned injectors, replaced anti siphon valve and run countless tests and can never find an issue. The vst seems to be empty each time this happens because I have to pump it a lot. Mine has the manual low pressure pump. Does it sound like the low pressure pump is failing?

Somebody has got to have had this problem...at least one. I ordered a new low pressure fuel pump. Hopefully that will get it?

had the same problem last year or so. Ended up changing out the hose and bulb and fixed the problem. I apparently had a pin hole leak in the line that made it loose pressure. Either that or it was so blasted hot out the fuel evaporated.

Could also be a sticking anti-siphon valve if yours is equipped with one, but air leak does sound just as likely.

I had already replaced all the hoses and the bulb. The anti siphon valve was replaced also. Since I replaced the fuel pump, the problem seems to have gone away. My next step would have been the pickup tube. I think the pump may have fixed it, but I may replace the tube anyway since it is a cheap part, and then it will all be new to the motor.

Well, to the Pro out again, this time to pull a tube! To dang hot to fish right now. It ran great again. I guess the manual pumps will give problems as well. I was at the end of my rope......just hope this good luck trend continues!
