I am having issues getting on plane - hit the throttle wide open with any guests in the bow it takes me 100+ yds to hit plane
also my full throttle top speed is only 27mph (gps) on glassy water @4250rpm. I also have to bury the trim and cannot trim up or else the boat porpoises so bad we are thinking of naming the boat flipper.
Boat is a new to me 2005 sv1900cc with a t top 2005 f115d Yamaha 115 4 stroke mounted in the second hole from the bottom. No hydrofoils etc. Current prop is a rapture 13.25x 17 RH that looks to be vented.
manual states full throttle operating range is 5000-6000rpm
What ya think?

Welcome to the site duckhntr - It sounds like you are definitely over-propped by a couple of inches. I gained 600 rpm going from a 19 pitch to a 17 and am happy where I am at 5100 rpm, but I have a different hull and power with a WOT range of 4500 to 5500. You won't be able to tell if your motor is at the right height until your get the prop straight. Do you have a local shop who will let you test some other props before you buy? Some guys on here run 1900s and will probably be able to give you some clearer direction on what might be right. Good luck.

I have the same rig minus the top. It's pretty sick when loaded. I tried a four blade 15 pitch 13.25prop yesterday and I could get rpm over 6,000. Little slower at top end but I still reached 35 to 40 with both livewells full and my wife in the boat. I weigh 275 lb. I'm worried I'm over reving the engine.

The W.O.T. RPM range varies from model-to-model but I think most Yammies run between 5k -6k ... and my manual suggests running closer to the higher end (6k) for the best performance... I'd worry about running higher than 6k.

no where local would let me try then buy but I picked up a SS four blade vented and cupped prop to try out it was cheap and i can always have it repitched if needed.
I also pulled the filter off the back of the engine and replaced it. Local shop suggested having someone squeze the primer bulb at WOT to see if i see a jump as that may indicate that the issues is fuel system related.
