Haven't had the boat on the water more than 2 hours, and I notice the shock absorber that holds the livewell lid up, had already stripped out of the threads where it attached to the well. Its a little plastic socket that attaches to an arm via some threads. Fixing to call dealer soon and get replacement. Anyone else have this problem. I'm afraid with it being plastic it could repeat...

Am I the only guy out here with a 228 CC SeaPro? Ha! Did finally get a replacement on order. I live about 5 miles from the Sea Pro Plant. Apparently all parts have already been loaded up and shipped to some place in Tennessee. My dealer, up in Sanford, NC, has placed an order from Tenn, and then plans to receve, and then ship to me...We'll see how long this process takes - with all the shut down in operations.

Have you checked at Boaters World for the part?? You might be able to use something else in its place.

Got my new one in, a while back, it lasted all of one day, before it stripped the threads on the new one... Sounds like I need to look for some other kind of attachment.. Thanks.

Hello all new to the forum. I have the same rig you have and had the same problem with the live well lid. I have been looking for a better attachment so if you have found one let me know. I am taking mine in to Chatlee this week to have some gel coat cracks fixed at the base of the livewell on the outside. I also have a couple at the base of the console at the front seat.

I have a '99 190DC and my hatches have a stainless spring on them to hold them open and have had no trouble with them at all. You just bend them in the middle and close the lid. Simple is always the best in my book. ED
