Was this just before breaking onto plane?
I will try to pay attention to mine the next time I put it in the water.
Are you a member of the Verado Club? This would be a good question for the experts there since all of them have Verados. The membership fee I paid there was some of the best money I have spent on my boat. I saved the fee alone buying oil & filter for SIM who I would have never known about otherwise.

My 175 has a slight vibration starting at around 1500 rpm (I think), but settles out quickly as I accelerate. I have heard others mention the same thing. I don't know if it's just the 4 cylinders or if all Verados have this, but you can find out at the Verado Club website.

All 4 cylinder 4 stroke outboards have *some* vibration in the 1000-1500 RPM range. They have no balancing the way the 6 cylinder outboards do. Hull differences can affect this. Also, prop choice can make a big difference. It did for me on my 150 Verado. The factory supplied Mirage was the worst. Currently I am running a 16 pitch Enertia and there is a world of difference in reducing vibration and steering torque.

Cap1 Great to hear from you. Where did you get your prop and if you don't mind what was the cost?

I've got a V150... it only has a slight vibration at idle speed (sub 1000 rpm). Once above 1000, it's smooooooth as silk. Running a 17P Mirage Plus.
