Okay, the existing fuel line on my 08 sea-pro with 150 optimax is soft and i'm havin some minor issues so i thought i would change it out along with the bulb. Purchased new line from west marine (3/8" ID) and a quicksilver primer bulb. Hooked it up to the sea-pro fitting on the transom with no problem and tested for suction and it was there. Then I went to connect it to the plastic coupler on the hose going into the motor and i can't get it to seal. So i figure I need to get a different coupler (brass) that would give me a tighter fit. problem is that I can't get the old one out of the line at the motor. I fear i've already damaged it so there is no going back. Any tips?
