I am looking to replace my almost completely re-built 2004 Continental aluminum single axel trailer with a tandem axel. I do not feel comfortable towing this boat on a single axel trailer, so I am considering a tandem axel trailer if I can find one. I have discussed adding an axel to this trailer with a local trailer building company, and they recommended selling the existing trailer and purchasing a tandem. Does anyone have a nice tandem axel for sale? I live in Indianapolis, Indiana and will drive witin 200-300 miles if necessary. Would appreciate any help or ideas.

I agree. It is a lot of boat for that trailer but unless you tow a long way or launch at tricky ramps, I would roll with the single you have. Properly maintained and equipped, the single will be fine. It's going to cost several grand to upgrade I would imagine and to me it just wouldn't be worth it unless i was doing long distance towing.

I know this is an older post but you might check out Loadmasters Trailers. They're custom built to fit your boat and made like a tank!! Great stuff check em out online.
