New to the forum. I have a new to me 04 SV2100CC and am getting fuel fumes in the bilge area and when I open the back hatches. I have checked for leaks and have no fuel in the bilge just the smell. I assume the tank vents thru the cap as I can not find any other vents. I see a hose next to the fill hose at the tank but can not trace where it ends up and I have no problem filling the boat at all.
Any ideas?
Thanks

It's possible that the fuel vent is loose, but I'd check everything, If you don't have an access hatch to the fuel fill hose, you might need to remove the fuel fill itself and tighten the clamps there, as well as the vent. and where they attach to the fuel tank as well. You might have a leak at your sending unit gasket. It isn't uncommon, and this will usually cause the smells to be strongest when you have a full tank. Oh, welcome to the forum!

There should be a separate fuel vent (and hose inside) on the side of the boat - I don't think USCG rules allow it to be vented through the fuel fill cap.

Interesting ... looks like the vent hose is separate and terminates inside the flip cap that covers the vent and fill hole: Very odd ...

Its similar to that picture. The vent is in the fill line. My problem is finding a vented fuel cap that fits. PERKO makes plenty and I couldn't get anyone on the phone. Headed to west marine today to see if they can help.

That’s is an interesting fuel fill. No threads for the cap to screw in and tighten down on. Almost looks like a diesel fuel fill
