Does anyone have any recomendations for mounting a spare tire mount on their trailer? There seem to be quite a few out there so I would like to get some feedback on your experiences. Currently, the spare tires ride in the back area of the "boat's" Explorer. I have a LoadRite single axle trailer with ST175/80D13 tires.
Thanks!

These work, they're cheap, and you can mount the tire on the trailer tongue or anywhere else you have enough space.

Thank you for the replies. Wasn't sure what anyone's experience was with the u-bolt-like option. Looked at the one on the site in S.C., too. That's not bad either. I've got two to mount so i've got to relook my space-to-location options.
Thanks! Davie

I have this one from TSC. I've had a couple of different boats. I like it. Good and solid. Once I fit the tire to it I weld the bolts in place so they don't fall out when I remove the tire, but it is good without doing that. www.tractorsupply.com/en/store/carry-on-trailerreg%3B-spare-tire-mountI used the U bolt type shown my Juan and it works, just not real solid (and the threads stripped out on mine after I removed it a few times).

Found one at AgriSupply that worked great. Thanks for all the advice!
