Motor is hard to start, dies after just a few minutes of either idle ir jocking the butterfly. Fuel coming out of weep hole at enrichment plunger. Is the enrichment plunger a cold start accessory or is it also play a part in the running/idling issue? Been sitting, good spark, compression and carb has been soaked several times in engine tuner blah, blah. I feel fuel pump... But primer ball pumps up hard and stays hard,no weeping such as a pin hole... So again does enrichment plunger play a part in actual running operations. I bought this new in the box, last used 7 years ago. A friend of mine has an 08 same motor, same problem. After 40 hrs if chasing my tale, the boat shop charged 350.00 for a stuck needle, check ball at plunger, and claimed a mud dobber at timerbase. I call bull on all three cause the carb was just soaked the day befor,no flooding and i always make it a point to always make sure the timerbase moves freely.

WELCOME ABOARD... Is it running right after the $350. repair bill? I've seen a boat repair shop blame mud dobbers when I know it was BS...so I know it happens but if it's fixed, $350. isn't bad...(at least around here)
