I just got a new magic tilt trailer and trying to figure out how far apart to set the bunks. It's the 2 bunk thanks. 180cc 2003

My 180cc (2000) has lifting strakes (flat sections approx 3 inches wide) running about 30" from the keel line. I put my bunks (with bevel top to match the deadrise) on the outside of these strakes to line the hull up as I drive it on the trailer.
Works great!
Be sure to get the end of the buck to extend all the way to the transom to support it properly. Some trailers are a bit small and the bunks too short to support the weight on the transom.
I drilled through each bunk at the back and through-bolted 1/4" stainless steel eyelets to hook my tie-downs (require for highway towing) to as well.
Good luck.

If you set your bunks like I said, they will hold the boat tightly, so it won't move around. Straps are necessary for law only (and wind).
I don't use galvanized hardware any more (rotted off of 2 trailers. leaving me stranded). Aluminum bunk brackets only - and stainless bolts. Salt water will hold on the carpet and eat the galv stuff and then the steel beneath ...
