I am having a fuel issue on one engine. I have isolated this back to between the tank and the first section of hose. When attaching a working primer bulb to this section of hose I am not able to draw any fuel. If I try to blow air into the tank no air passes (so no leaks in this hose). So I suspect my issue is the pickup or check valve screwed into the top of the tank. This valve, barely visible when you pop the deck plate, is not accessible. Before I start cutting into the deck wanted to see if anyone has any experience with this type of problem and how to fix.

very well could be the check valve. I'd certainly try a new short piece of hose with a NEW primer bulb before I started cutting anything. I'd also verify the fuel vent is working, and then shoot a little compressed air back from the fuel hose to the tank to potentially clear any debris from the pickup screen. Edit: this won't work if you have a functioning anti-siphon valve installed.

You say "on one engine" . Never had a 2 engine boat, does it have a separate pickup tube for each engine? I have had a check valve go bad on my 2002. Broke off trying to get it out. redid the whole pickup tube & fitting but Did not replace with another check valve.

the problem is with one engine. there are two separate pickups, one for each engine. I assume there is only one vent for the tank? I am down to a 4' length of hose attached to the tank with a new primer ball and I cannot draw any gas. When I try to blow air back into the tank it will not flow. Is the check valve part of the pickup assembly attached to the tank?

thanks...that's exactly what mine looks like and has to be the problem...I wish seapro would have made the access big enough to remove & replace...will have to cut a larger access.

it turned out to be the anti siphon valve.

Glad you got that sorted, thanks for following up with a good result.
