I believe where the brass sleeve is going through the transom the chips around the outside is allowing it to go between the cap of the boat and the bottom part. Im not 100% sure that is where it is coming in at but as far as I could see that is about the only spot it could be leaking.

Must feel good to have found something! Sounds like someone ran a big screw in a small hole installing scupper valves and chipped gel coat out. Seal that pig up! Should be a decent fix, not sure how to replace that sleave if needed.?

I also have a 2006 206 CC, with Verado 150, purchased 3 or 4 months ago.
i have noticed the same thing with my boat, bilge has small amount of water, but when pulled out of water on trailer on incline, pull the plug and 2-3 gallons of water.
i went thru bait tank/washdown system and resealed, but still the same.
have you found anything?

Screws are actually not abnormal. Im going to try to seal tomorrow and take it out this weekend and see how it does. The sleeve seems in good shape but only time will tell l. Got the boats first offshore trip next weekend so I hope all goes well. Anyone ever ran a 206 offshore?!?!?

Baja, right now after searching everywhere in and under the boat, the scuppers in the splash well right in front of the motor are leaking. The water is hard to see and if you look in the bilge it is just a steady stream running right down the transom in the bilge compartment. I found it by me and my brother(both in 250lb range) stand on the back of the boat while sitting still and its just a steady stream. Hard to notice but definitely after a day on the water enough to do what I see.

Thanks, I'll check mine, did you reseal with 5200?
I take my boat offshore all the time, 40-50 miles out of Ensenada, MX, south of San Diego, CA
We are catching tuna! Bluefin up to 100 lbs., Yellowfin and Dorado as well.

I take my 210 offshore in the gulf. It's essentially 20'6" with 3" more beam than the 206.

Dang thats awesome, how far is a gulf run from you freezerfiller? About a 3.5-5 hour drive depending on where/what I'm targeting. I typically stay within 20 miles of shore. And NCO, don't let it drive you crazy, you'll find it. It might be worth buying one of those cheap usb camera scopes to see those impossible to see areas. I think you are eliminating variables from the equation, You'll get it.

It doesn't take much to chip that gel coat. You almost have to drill a hole a little bigger than you want to to keep from chipping it out when driving screws. Or apply ALLOTTTTT! Of pressure when driving them or it will chip it out. Fill in those chips, around sleave and in screw holes before installing screws? Hoping that leak will stop! Good luck.
