Well hunting season will be winding down in a little less than a month so I figured it is a good time to get to work. Here is my list of offseason chores. I should have plenty of time to do them seeing as we are expecting a baby in late February so I doubt I'll be leaving the house much. My list is mostly minor stuff but it needs to be done. What you got?
1. Replace courtesy lights. 2. Install new radio and cover. 3. Install new tach and speedometer. 4. Install new 12 v outlet. 5. New Spark Plugs 6. Test Battery and replace if necessary. 7. Wax and polish. 8. Check steering system. 9. Sand and paint chipped and flaking parts of motor. 10. Find someone to make custom bean bags to fit in the jump seat locations.

Auwallace, check with www.ocean-tamer.com on those bean bags. I think they do custom stuff. Gnrphil, I think you have 13 and 14 backwards You don't want that name to fall off. Me? I have a small list this off season 1. finish and install phase 1 and 2 of T-top project 2. Relocate VHF and FM antennae maybe relocate both radios as well 3. Install new LED anchor light that I bought last year 4. fish wires and install spreader lights 5. wax and polish

Just wipe off the old wax with some rubbing alcohol where the name is going. You'll be fine. You can wax over it when you're done.

I looked at ocean tamer and esearider. They make the small wedge that would fit but it would take up a ton of room. I'm looking at contacting some local folks to make me a pair of bean bag cushions about 15 inches tall by 15 inches wide by 20 inches deep with a zipper on one side. I can fill them myself.
This way I can easily store them in the console. And it will get rid of the jump seats. I've fixed each one of them once already. Not a very good design.

They stuck on there pretty good so I think I'll be ok but if they come off it's not the end of the world, should've gone a shade darker on the colour(yes that's the correct spelling and now SHE wants a little sun for the dot on the "i"

Finally got to the end of my to do list. Here is where the jump seat is in my 196. It is an AWFUL design and is not built to last. I hate those seats so I decided to get a couple bean bags made to go in those locations. I decided on 18 inches wide by 18 inches long by 15 inches high. This will allow me to use the backs still and also stow the cushions easily if they are not in use. I'll post an update when I get them back. Bills Canvas in mobile is making them for me.

No problem.,.....one of the reasons I started it was to keep myself accountable. I still need to replace my plugs but I'll do that once it starts to idle a little rougher (optimax problems) One other thing I did for my boat this year. I broke down and bought a yeti to go under my leaning post. I might have rednecked it up a little using my wife's sillouhette craft machine

I'm not a big Yeti fan but I like the looks of that one.. good job! emthup
I'm glad I didn't make a list of things to do in the off season... there wasn't much of anything to do on the Sea Pro, but I would have worn out a pencil making a list of the things I've done to the 76 bass boat and I'm still not finished. 021

Well just crossed some stuff off the list, bottom paint starts tomorrow. She's strapped up on the rafters and swinging freely, to be honest I'm a little nervous about her hanging there all night. I'll post pics later, Oh and I promised pics of the wiring job, I'll get those this weekend too.
