I've got a quicksilver prop from a mercury mercruiser, the blade shape is different to the prop I have on my outboard. Does anyone know what effect this might have running on an outboard?

It's a 14x19 I understand how that works, was just wondering about the blade shape as they have a more rounded blade end rather tha a more pointed blade end. there must be a reason for this. The origoinal is a 14x15

Sorry, guess I didn't understand your question... I'm sure any difference will make a difference in performance (shape, dimension, pitch, cup) ... if the splines are right and it fits, I'd try it out.

Keep a check on ebay for stainless ones. I bought one a year or so ago. It was a johnson brand prop. It was pitted a little and someone went a little overboard with the wire wheel but it was decent. Paid 45 shipped and got a local shop to work it over for 75.
