I recently purchased a 2000 18' center console sea pro with a Yamaha F115 4 stroke that had been sitting idle in its owners driveway for 3-5 years. I'm having issues with it getting out of the hole or up onto a plane (usually takes some time or playing with weight distribution). It also will not get over around 4500 rpm. It also produces a lot of vibrations once on gear and upon throttling up which go away around 3000 rpm. I had it serviced upon purchase with full fuel system cleaning, drained old fuel, replaced a seized fuel pump etc.
I'm going to have the mechanic check the injectors for me again but I'm thinking it may be a prop issue. Anyone have any insight into this issue or experience selecting a prop for this boat and outboard combo?

That motor should be turning close to 6K rpms at wide open throttle if it's running and propped correctly.. I'd find out what's causing the vibrations before I started changing props, but your rpms are too low and need to go up..either by correcting whatever is wrong with the motor or changing props and it's possible that your prop is causing the vibrations.
