Are those the same type of flares we used in the military? You guys that are prior military know the ones...they will turn night into day. I think I would hold onto those...You never know when you might need a clear field of fire...hahaha I think we called those "willie pete" (White phosphorus) flares. I wish I had a few of those.

We called the Schermulley flares, don't know if that's spelled correctly.

That day is coming, and when it does, I'm not going to care if I burn down my rich neighbor's woods. The fact that I have clear fire lanes will.

One night I was up around midnight doing bills and decided to take them to the mailbox. They had some kind of "turn night into day" operation going on. I was pretty impressed.

I remember the first time I called a fire mission with illumminationg rounds, two of those suckers truely turned night into day and at $25000 each I suppose they should
