Having to replace some parts on my 2001 Wesco Aluminum trailer Attachment Deleted (damn ramp). I want to reuse the existing front bunk support which is galvanized; the bracket and supporting cross member are aluminum. Should I paint the surface where the valve/aluminum meet? The bracket doesn't get dunked, but gets exposed to runoff from the hull.

I assume you are concerned about galvanic action. Anything you can do to isolate the two dissimilar metals (i.e prevent direct contact) will reduce galvanic action, so yes painting will help.
