Hey guys, I have a 1990 180cc does anyone know how much wood is in this year's boat model? I have a small soft spot behind the center console and I really do not want to remove the whole floor for small spot. Would like to know if the stringers are wood or not. I was thinking about getting some Get Rot and injecting into trouble area.
Thank you for any advice you can provide.

I am no Sea-Pro expert but I'm pretty sure they had wood stringers in 1990. If you have a soft spot there really isn't any way to tell the extent of the damage without taking a look underneath the deck. Wish I could be of more help, I'm sure someone will chime in soon that could help you more.

Everything is cored with wood, transom, stringers, deck, front fishbox cover and live-well covers. Nothing really wrong with that Grady White still builds them that way. My dad has a 11yr old Grady and it has no problems.
Sea Pro didn't entirely go away from using wood in their boats until around 2000, my 1998 Sea Pro 180 has wood coring.

Just to be clear, Sea Pros made in 1996 and before that do have wood stingers and coring. Sea Pros made after 1996 are full composite and wood-free. They transitioned from wood coring to full composite in 1996 so it is possible that early 1996 models could have wood stingers and coring but none after 1996 should contain any wood construction unless there were repairs or modifications made by a previous owner. I'm curious as to where you are finding wood coring in a 98 model.?

I would be interested in that myself..where are you finding wood in that boat? I own a 1998 180cc that I purchased brand new, and have found no wood in mine. Am I missing something I need to know about? BTW welcome to the forum.
