Noticed on my Suzuki 115 prop, the thrust washer, held on by the castlated nut has what appears to be a counter weight about 3/4 of an inch long on it outside edge. What is it's function and how should it be positioned relative to the prop or whatever else it's supposed to be lined up with? Thanks.

I did some research about the washer and was unable to find anything....Did he tell you what purpose it served, I have never heard of such a thing, and I'm curious.

I'm guessing it's there to provide a shoulder for the prop to push against when in reverse, can't see it doing anything in forward. Beyond that "beats me". Have a good one.
