I am a new member and very happy to find this forum. First post so I hope this works. I own an '08 SP186CC with an '08 Merc. 115hp EFI four stroke. Behind the dash were 3 bundled, unused wires labeled tilt/trim, oil pressure, and water temp.. I was told by many marine techs that I could connect an analog gauge to the tilt/trim wire but not the other two. I did install a Faria analog TT gauge and it works just fine. The Chesapeake white matches the original Teleflex guages. I found the motor ends of the other two unused wires under the cowl. They are continuous, have connectors on them, and nice little rubber plugs in the connectors. I would prefer not to have to buy a megabucks pigtail or mess with the original wiring. QUESTION: Is there somewhere on this motor where I can add additional sending units to operate analog oil and water gauges or is there another way to do this??? Please make me happy and tell me it can be done. I have at least one more question but for another thread. Thanks
