For the record, you were right... I don't know where I got 150 from. 021 I didn't know the SV2100 was only rated for a 150, I thought it would've been 200.

Well clearly a 150 is a good match as you've been running one for years, I had a feeling it was low for a max hp though. Any update on yours ? maybe there's still time to swap to a 175 or 200

Juan, I put a new Suzuki DF115 on my SV1900 and like it, quiet, doesn't use much fuel and moves the boat at about 35 mph with a 21" prop. One of our local dealers, whom I've known for years, did a line by line comparison between the 115 and 140 parts list, same parts across the board the only difference is the rev limit, 5500 on the 115 vs 6000 on the 140. He said the same applies to other displacement "groups" in the Suzuki line up. Don't know for sure if that is true of the 150-175-200 series or not. May be worth looking into. I looked around and did notice a lot of the crabbers in my area use Suzukis also and they put thousands of hours on them, talked to several and they endorsed them. Best.

Like your 115 being in the same group as the 140, the 150 is in the same group as the 175. I'm not sure about the rpms but all the other numbers are exactly the same. I may be wrong but I'm thinking that since the 150 isn't maxed out on horses, it isn't working as hard and might last longer... The 200 is a different animal with a couple inches more displacement and some other goodies. If I had remembered the boat was rated for 200, I would have gone that route but it's too late now since it's supposed to ready by this weekend and if I had gone with the 200 I would have had to upgrade the hydraulic steering to SeaStar. I've been happy with a 150 so I'm sure I won't be disappointed.

My 2006 SV2100CC was rated for a 225. I had a 225 4 stroke Mercaha on it. It would run 52 mph top end. Loved that boat. My 2008 SV2400CC is rated for a 300 and that's what it now has on it. My 225 Verado was getting tired and I felt now was the time to upgrade. Went with an F300 Yamaha, also had a 6" Atlas hydraulic jack plate installed. Working to get the break in complete but I like it so far. Local motor guy made me a good deal so I jumped on it. Got it cheaper than I could get a Suzuki. Once I catch my breath, I'm going to upgrade my trolling motor to a GPS model and put a shallow water anchor on the back. I will have a new boat then! Almost anyway.

I don't think you really need a shallow water anchor if you have a gps trolling motor.... but if and when you get one, get a power pole. Mine has been on the boat since it was new in 2004 and until the other day, it worked perfectly every time I used it. (which wasn't that often since the Minn Kota I-pilot) but broke a couple of bolts and lost the bushings after taking off with the power pole still deployed. Sent an email to Power Pole asking if they had the parts for a 13 year old power pole... Yep.. almost $40. worth of bolts, bushings. washers and nuts sent to my door two days later and no charge at all. That's what I call good customer service!!
BTW: ROLL TIDE

I want one to make beaching the boat a bit easier. The power poles are confusing to me as they have three different models. Anyone know if the upgrades are worth it's?
Roll tide. They looked dang good against FSU the other night. I am in Germany visiting my son and his wife and we stayed up until almost 05:00 watching the games!

I loved Germany. Where are you? As for the Power Poles, I think the upgrades mainly just improved the looks and weight. They still work the same, still have manual and remote operation and come in 6, 8 and 10 ft. models. They even make brackets that will let you mount it to that new jack plate instead of mounting to the transom. I seldom use mine since installing the I-pilot with spot lock but will deploy it if fishing in a current and plan to be in one spot for a long time. A lot of people swear they are the best option for holding in one spot since there's no trolling motor noise.

My son lives in a village called Bann. He works at Ramstiein. I like Germany a lot too. Great country for farming. It's been a blast.
