Done a lot of research online and on this forum, but haven't found any usable information about mounting a trolling motor on a 170cc. Looking at a riptide ulterra 80#. Can't find any images or information on how to mount the motor without interfering with the anchor locker and nav light. Also any recommendations for shaft length too. Any help would be appreciated.

Wise choice IMO. I have an Ulterra 80 / 60" and love it. The Ulterra has the exact same bolt pattern and actually takes up less deck space than the other Riptide models but the anchor cleat makes it a close fit even on my 2100cc so worst case, you might have to move the anchor cleat on a 170cc. You may not need it in calm waters, but I'd suggest the 60" shaft. You can easily adjust the trim up and down at the push of a button.

I moved the bow cleat, used one of the bow cleat holes for the trolling motor plug, and, plugged the other hole and covered it with the trolling motor base.
