I had the same issue and replaced them with aluminum brackets.

Nice. I'm going to try to get one more year out of all of my trailer hardware and do a complete overhaul next year. My main concern is springs, not that they look all that bad, but I think they may be originals.. Very few things stop a road trip like broken springs.

Yeah I did the springs brakes hubs and all that stuff two years ago, I'm now keeping an eye on cross members and axles. Kinda hoping and thinking if I can get two years out of it as is I'll then get a new trailer.
