Does any one have the Engine Management System that displays engine data on their Chart plotter with a Suzuki outboard and analog gauges? I want to display engine data on the plotter but I'm having a hard time locating the interface cable required that connects the engine to the NMEA 2000 network.

I have it, but it's not connected to my FF. I got the digital gauge that displays all the info. If I remember correctly, it cost me around $250 for the management system. I don't think it comes with it.

If I had the digital gauge that you have, adding the engine data to the fishfinder would be a piece of cake. If you have the digital gauge, there's a short interface cable that connects under the console to the tach. The problem I'm having is finding a Suzuki dealer that knows what they're doing and sells the cables. I've called the marina where we bought our Suzukis and and another one not too far away and both dealers told me that if you have analog gauges like I do and connect the FF to read engine data, the analog tach won't work any more and you have to read your rpms from the fishfinder display. They say you can't have both a working analog tach and the engine data on the fishfinder. THEY'RE WRONG! You can connect a Suzuki to a chartplotter and get the digital engine data and at the same time keep ALL of the analog gauges working as they should. I found a thread on THT and a couple other sites that say it can be done so I called a Suzuki dealer in New Jersey (Browns Point Marina) and they verified it and they also sell the correct cable. Seems the only difference is if you have analog gauges you connect the cable to a connection on the engine and then to the NMEA 2000 network vs connecting under the dash if you have the digital tach. Finding the right cable has been a PITA but I've got one coming. Had to order another Tee connection for the NMEA 2000 network too but that's it..
