Can anyone recommend a place for 13" aluminum spoke trailer wheels? Looking to replace my galvanized wheels.

Thanks.. I've been checking Craigslist for close to a year and I've only seen one set for sale and they were already sold when I called. Ebay scares me these days so I'll probably have to order from a dealer online and was hoping someone might recommend a place they've dealt with.

Be careful with rec stuff and some of the other wheel places online, recstuff sent me a bent galvanized wheel when I first bought the 1900 won't ever order a wheel online again you are better off going to your local trusted tire dealer that you deal with and seeing what they can get for you. Just my opinion but trying to save a buck on a pretty Important component or getting what you really need is a no brainer.

I agree completely but my options are limited since I haven't found the size and style I want locally. Looking at www.easternmarine.com/mag-aluminum-trailer-wheels

Those are pretty sharp and not terribly expensive. You'd be Uptown with those.

Better put a hitch lock on. Somebody will steal your trailer for those.

Better put a hitch lock on. Somebody will steal your trailer for those. Had one since day one. Dumb question before I place the order: These wheels have a weight rating of 1600 lbs. The ugly old galvanized wheels they're replacing have a rating of 1660. Is 60 pounds per wheel something I should be concerned about? The boat weights 1900 so I'm guessing with boat, motor, fuel gear and crew it's pushing 3,000. They sell different wheels rated up to a rating of 1750 but imo they don't look as good as these.

Net out the crew because your not going to be on the trailer with the crew aboard. Now, don't you have a dual-axle trailer and, thus, 4 wheels? If so, I wouldn't think it would even be a consideration. Even with 2 wheels and no crew I think you'd be good.

DOH! I don't know why I added the crew. 021 Must be the meds from the knee surgery this morning. Yep, it's a tandem axle trailer so I won't worry about it.. Thanks crabs

Just for reference. I weighed my 2002 2100 a few weeks ago. It had full fuel and all gear except fishing poles and ice chest. It weighed in at 4100 pounds. I think when you said crew you meant to say the trailer weight. I'm betting my trailer weighs 1000 pounds empty. I also don't have a ttop and rigging like you do. Your boat is a few pounds heavier but I highly doubt the total weight exceeds 5000 pounds. So even at 5k you are only looking at 1250 per wheel or less. (if you just divide by 4 but not sure if that is how it works. I assume somewhere between 350-500 pounds is taken by the tongue)

Thanks guys. The weight rating may have been fine but I was a bit concerned that the new wheels were rated 60 lbs lower than the old galvanized wheels so I found and ordered some that are rated at 1750.. 150 lbs per wheel better than the galvanized wheels.. Bigger is better I liked the first style better but there's not much difference in design and these have a better rating so maybe fewer problems.

If it weren't for bad luck, I wouldn't have any luck at all.. The dealer called today..seems they only had 3 of the wheels I ordered in stock and it could be as much as 60 days before they got more in.. so I had to either cancel the order or change my choice of wheels.. This one is my 3rd choice of design but I think it still looks good and they had a good deal on em. Hopefully they have 4!!

EZ Loader sells wheels. I like mine and they keep them in stock. You would need to find an EZ Loader locally.

Got em mounted but decided not to use the center caps since they make it hard to get to the axle grease fittings.
