There was a piece on the news several days ago that said snook and redfish were now catch and release only until further notice in all the counties where red tide was located.

Yes a snook tourney I fish every year for Mote Marine has been canceled. Word is it is now in Tampa Bay. Been getting into some cool lakes. Had to portage the yaks a mile for a private lake. Lots of crappie and some bass. Need to bring a sounder back to that lake. G Got a letter from the landowner, just need to call day before. Pretty cool knowing no one fishes it.

It has arrived in Panama City (Bay County).. Not as severe as central Fl yet but dead fish on the beaches. This heat is making it worse and next Saturday is the first day of Fall, The temperatures shouldn't still be in the mid 90s!!!! 021

Just expanded to north of Tampa. Wish they would add seatrout to the protected species.

NBC is going to be doing the national news from Tampa next week . Bunch of coverage on red tide and the green algae. That's not good. They're running off the tourists by all this coverage. It's all over the news here about the red tide on the east coast beaches where it's almost unheard of and now they're trying to find out how it got there.

I got to disagree. More people are pissed about this the better chance we get this fixed. 8 months ago my bay was the best fishing it has been since 2006. I keep a log. Not going political , but more people are educated on water policies may affect how they vote.
