How difficult is it to hook up a Suzuki tilt and trim gauge to a 2016 DF115? Is there a built in sending unit and if so where is it located? Thanks.

Unknown but why? I trim my motor by sound listening for the sweet spot. For fine tuning with a visual cue , can watch the speed display on the fishfinder to get maximum speed. You don't have dual or three engines? That's where trim really can start taking on a art form.

Had one on a previous boat, found the best trim position under my normal load, marked it on the gauge and from that point on when I got up on plane set the trim to that mark. If the load changed it gave me a starting point from which I could adjust.

I just turn around and look at my motor and it's rooster tail but if I was tweaking it to get the max speed, I'd do like skeeter and watch the speedometer and tach too. Unless you have the same weight, weather and sea conditions, the trim is always going to vary. Now to answer your question... There should be a PTT sending unit already mounted on your motor and it should be plug and play. Not sure where it is on a 115 but there are several instructional videos on YouTube.
