Just purchased a 228 Bay 2019. received it 2 weeks ago. Took it out on the water and noticed that my swim platform is like dragging a bucket behind the boat on that side. If turn that way it pulls real hard and if go the other side it is with ease. Noticed that the factory platform is like a cup on the bottom there are no holes to let water through. Is anyone else having this issue. Though about having a bottom plate put in with fiberglass too match it. Any suggestions. I am assuming i am not the only one having this issue. I feel like sea pro should do something about this design and i should not have to pay to fix this. Thanks

Sounds like it was mounted too low, do you have any pictures ?. If I'm correct the swim platform is a relatively new addition.

I don't have an answer other than I'd take it back to the dealer to fix. It appears to be mounted higher than mine but it looks like the platform deck is sloped toward the rear.. Is it or is that just how it looks in the picture? I can see where it would drag if it's sloped. If it isn't sloped, I'd tell the dealer to replace it with one that has a flat platform.

Actually mine is not flat on the bottom. It like a bowl underneath it. So I feel it just cups the water as I am moving. This is from the sea pro factory. They installed it. I thought about fiberglassing the bottom to get a flat bottom. But I feel like they should fix it .

In that case, I'd have it repaired under the warranty, No way should it be dragging like that and glassing it in is going to add a lot of extra weight to the platform and the port side. Maybe there's a way to fill it with foam?

I agree. Take it back to them and have them raise it up. You have plenty of steps to get up there if they raised it to the top (which is where it looks like it needs to be). Pretty boat BTW.
