I am purchasing a new to me 2004 seapro sv 1900. The boat has never had a trolling motor on it and I'm going to purchase a ipilot and going to order it so I wanted to know what length shaft I would need thanks in advance

Hey, congratulations. I'm guessing you bought that sweet boat you showed us pictures of recently. Awesome.

60" - 24 volt Minn Kota Ulterra.. i-pilot plus it self deploys and stows and a lot more. Best invention since toilet paper. and CONGRATULATIONS on the 1900. You're one of us now... (Not sure that's a compliment. rofl )

I agree on the 60". I do want to throw out a word of caution on the self deploying and stowing trolling motor. I took my dads parker out a few weeks ago and the ulterra would not stow. I had to look up a re set on my phone and do a reset on the base unit at sea. Worked it out and got it fixed, but, reminded me that I am at the mercy of electronics to stow a trolling motor at sea.

Thanks I decided 60 should be best fit and I'm not going with self deploy. Just something else to tear up lol. Not really something necessary anyway.

Mine hasn't failed to stow yet but if it ever does there's a quick fix to get it stowed manually. That was the first gen. models. Self deploy is the bomb and for the additional cost well worth it. I too thought I would be happy with just Ipilot and still kicking myself ...
