Hey guys new to the forum, and I was wondering what size prop you guys are running on your sv2100 with a suzuki 150? I'm running a suzuki 3x15x21R currently. I'm looking for better hole shot and I also need a spare prop so I figured I could try something new and was just wondering what you guys are running. Thanks, Drew

Welcome aboard duke, what speed are you getting at WOT?

Welcome duke. beerchug What year is your 2100? I'm running a 3 x 16 x 18.5 on mine. (2017 Suzuki 150 - 04 2100) The hole shot is so good I don't need to use the trim tabs any longer like I did with my old Yamaha f150 and the rpms top out at around 6,000 at WOT. I'm guessing with your 3x15x21 prop you aren't reaching max recommended rpms at wide open throttle. How many rpms are you turning? If you find a good deal on spare Suzuki props, let us know. I could use one too.

My hull is a 2006 2100 with a 17 Suzuki 150. I ran it today to check and wide open trimmed out I’m getting 39.5 mph at around 5600 rpm. No trim tabs

Hi Duke, welcome to the forum. Assuming you are familiar with trim and how it works, and if you are trimming out the motor correctly, I'd say you are overpropped. Juan's setup sounds pretty good, or maybe even a 16x18 since he has 200rpm to spare.

Freezer has a typo in his suggestion and I'm sure he meant 16 x 18. That may be the prop you need. Maximum recommend rpm at WOT is 5,000 to 6,000 so you're within the acceptable range but you'll get better performance and economy if you get it as close to 6,000 as possible without going over. We have the same hull and motor and when I tried out a couple of prop sizes when I bought mine, anything over the 16 x 18.5 wouldn't reach the recommended rpms and anything under would exceed the max. In theory, since you're 400 rpms below max, you can drop from the 15 x 21 to a 15 by 19 or you can go up in diameter from the 15 to a 16 and try a 16 x 18 or 18.5.
btw: I don't think Suzuki makes a 16 x 18 prop but you can probably find another make in that size.

Thanks guys for the help. Jaun, you having the same rig as me is a huge help. I'll give it a shot and get back to you guys on the results.

The only difference might be I have the added weight of the T-top which slowed mine down a couple of mph but it still runs over 40 trimmed out at WOT and that's more than I need. Good luck

Yes 18p, typo corrected. Mine was rated for 6200 rpms, but is a DF200A. I assumed they were the same and I was wrong in doing so. the 2018 df150 is rated for 6,000 and the df150a is rated for 6,100 rpms.
