That does suck and I don't blame you one bit for not liking it. I wouldn't like it either but I wouldn't sell the boat. After I've caught enough for a few meals, I usually release everything any way. The fun and sport is in the hunt and catching imo and I trailer at least 70 miles every time I go. It's not so bad once you get used to it. You could target other fish or fish sweet water until the bay recovers. I know there are some awesome bass and snook fishing spots in Hardee county.

You could always hitch a ride with me when I run down past Marco island. I live in the restricted area as well.

Been fishing Hardee and Highlands til the love bugs fired off. Tarpon are starting to roll of the beaches around here. Oh and red tide is back...

Damn that sucks. I'm in Florida now and love bugs are definitely not endangered. I'm on my second bottle of washer fluid already..
