Hello new model owners. I am looking into selling my '08 1900 and going to a new 208 or 228. Please let me and all of us know how you like yours, what would you do different, etc, etc.
Thank you!!!

Another case of the twofootitis disease. I hope it's not contagious.

I have the 208 with a 175 suzuki. Love the boat all the way around. The extra room would be nice behind helm seating but I would need to go with a 200 minimum for a motor so it starts adding up quickly for 2 more feet. I fish 4 adults with out to much issues as the boat sets very stable. All comes down to $$. For my set up I'm happy with my 208. Would have done a 200 if my dealer had one, still happy with it. Good luck either way.

I have a 2018 228 with 200 Suzuki, fish 3 easy, put 6 adults on board to go scalloping full of fuel and coolers, gets up easy and runs 40 mph.

I have a 2018 208 with a 200 Suzuki. I wish I had the 228 because; 1. I find the 208 crabs or moves fwd with a yaw at idle speed. (Yes I have adjusted the outboard engine trim tab, it’s just what happens with a big prop on a short vessel) Makes it a bit funky when handling at a windy launch trying to line up on the trailer. I plan to add a jack plate to set the engine back a bit more. 2. Plus the two extra feet on the 228 are located just fwd of the console seat between that seat and the steps up to the bow. This is a very congested area to transit on the 208, only a child or supermodel could walk through this area without turning sideways. If you are fishing with more than 2 people this is a pain. Only those two things, and of curse the SeaPro electrical corrosion curse are my dislikes for the 208.

Only those two things, and of curse the SeaPro electrical corrosion curse are my dislikes for the 208. LOL, I don't think Sea Pro will ever lose that reputation.
