Anyone Going Out for the Opening of FLA Scallop Season ?

Opens July 1st . Never had 6 people on my 21 before. Plan is in the morning just the adults . Afternoon bring my friends two boys out. Put the pasta on and start peeling the garlic.

I've never gone before. I've talked about it for years. It sure looks like fun for all ages.

I went once. I might go again if I had a boat full of 20 something bikini clad beauties...otherwise I'll keep getting bay scallops at the Chinese buffet. Scalloping is way too crowded around here and too much work for too little meat IMO. I've found diving up stone crabs instead of scallops is a bit more fun and productive (but not much)

For the work , yeah best just buy a bag. Fun day on the water and hanging with friends and a couple days camping beach side, is just what this hombre is looking forward to .
