Got on the water around 3pm with a buddy. Fished the edges of some oyster bars , no reds but steady action with trout. Soft plastics and gold spoon tipped with gulp chartreuse curly tail. Birds got real active around 5:30 (tide was at max flush) so moved to deep grass and chummed with some lady fish caught earlier. We both hooked up with shark and got pulled around. FUN FUN FUN. I lost mine , Ted actually leadered his. Fishing shut down after that. Went birding along the shore and went up two little creeks til the mangrove closed in stopping us. Need to break out the yaks more often . Pretty relaxing way to fish.

Sounds like a great day on the water! I'm giving my yak to my son-in-law. It's been sitting on the trailer for months and he'll use it more than I would. That being said, I went yesterday too and there were 3 yaks launching ahead of me. I don't know how they did, but my buddy and I pulled 60 trout by 1:30 and at 94 degrees, I had to quit and it was a good thing I did cuz thee bottom fell out on the way home.
