Counter Rotation as single outboard

I am working on purchasing a new Sea Pro with a new Mercury. With the delays in production that Mercury is having now, I have the opportunity to purchase a counter rotation motor. Can I use this as my single motor?

Sure you can, no problem whatsoever.

Yes, I ran a counter rotation for years. No issues.

Just remember everything will be backward so trailer it from the front bumper, put it in reverse to go forward and vise versa, fish from the stern instead of the bow and use the opposite hand you normally use to cast and retrieve.

Funny you should mention that, my father in law put a counter rotation motor on his whaler, forgot it was counter and put a regular prop on it.  rofl

I forgot to mention that it might also cause his political views to lean to the left.
