Has anyone installed a timer for the front live well on a '05 SV1900 . Thoughts and recommendations?
Thanks.

I put one on the larger rear live well but it should be the same procedure for the front one. I didn't even drill a new hole...just removed the breaker below the switch and used that hole.

Juan, Great idea! What sort of on/off interval are you using? I mainly use shrimp and mud minnows for bait. The two units I'm looking at run for either 30 seconds or 1 minute then off for seconds to several minutes. Thanks.

I seldom use it on this boat so can't remember how long it runs but I think it runs for 1 minute at either 1, 3, or 7 minute intervals. I had one on my bass boat and would usually run that one at either 3 or 7 minute intervals for bait and the 1 minute interval when I had bass in the livewell. They sell them at BPS and Academy Sports for $39.

Got it, Thanks. Don't really see a need to run down a battery and beat up my bait by running the pump constantly. Have a good evening and thanks again.

Double down on simplicity of instal. Added one purchased off ebay after Juan posted up on his. If you are removing the breaker just add a inline fuse.

On my '08 1900, I installed an air pump under the console and 5200'd a round air stone to the bottom of the front livewell. Then, drilled a hole in the back of the livewell tank as high as I could, and routed the air hose thru it. It would keep bait alive for days, just use the pump to top off the water level and run in some fresh every now and then. As long as you keep the water cool. I would throw in some ice in the summer.

OK, got it in, thanks for the suggestions! Got one from academy and installed it as Juan suggested and added an in line fuse as mosquito 13 mentioned. Now I just need to get some time to try it out. Thanks again gents.

Good werk! emthup You must have bought the last one Academy had. I went to Academy yesterday to buy another timer to install in the Carolina Skiff and they were sold out... ended up ordering one from Amazon that cost $8 more for the same timer I bought at Academy for $32.
