I am looking to buy a used SV 2100 CC. I've read some comments on other forums suggesting that the quality of construction changed for the worse once Brunswick took over (2005?). Does anyone have an informed opinion on this? Thanks for your input.

I can't comment on boats before Brunswick took over but mine (an 07 Brunswick boat) is just fine, haven't had any structural problems or any unusual gel coat cracking or such, all the stainless is still in pretty good shape. It depends of course how it's been looked after by previous owners.

I'm betting whoever made that statement never owned a Sea Pro. The only "quality" concerns I can remember hearing about (and there were only a couple) were on the pre 1996 boats that included wood in the construction.

I owned an '08 SV 1900 and had no quality issues with the boat. When I sold it, it was 11 years old and on its second motor and second trailer, but, everything Sea Pro was good as new.
